The Miwatj region broadly covers communities from Ramingining in the west to Groote Eylantd in the east, and from Yirrkala in the north to Numbulwar in the south. For purposes of representation on the Board, three wards have been created, named Barra, Bulunu and Mamarika. Miwatj Health’s clinic and management and administration centre is located at Nhulunbuy at the tip of the Gove Peninsula - see Map on right. Miwatj Health’s Constitution allows up to 5 board members from each of the three wards.
